    Eratosthène. Astronome, géographe, philosophe et mathématicien grec. (-276, -194). Il a été responsable de la bibliothèque d'Alexandrie, il est notamment connu pour avoir donné une très bonne approximation du rayon et de la circonférence de la Terre.

    Euclide. Mathématicien grec. (-325, -265). Auteur de 13 livres, Les Eléments, textes fondateurs des mathématiques, notamment en géométrie.
